PIX 515E software upgradation

Hi all,

we have a pix 515E firewall with software version Cisco PIX Security Appliance Software Version 7.0(4) and ASDM version Device Manager Version 5.0(4). we are in a process of upgrading the software. Kindly suggest the software and ASDM version  most fit for the device. Also the software should be compatilbe for the current configuation running. Please guide.

You first need to read the release notes for the PIX prior upgrade, open caveats, and resolved caveats, here is the latest version for the Pix (and the last one)

Here is the list of ASDM that are compatible with the version 8.0.4
