PIX 525 7.0(2) uptime reports incorrect

Howdy,

Have a PIX 525 running v7.0(2) that is reporting the uptime incorrectly from a show version. ASDM reports the correct uptime, however command line shows the PIX as stuck on 49days 17hours.

The only reason I noticed was that Cacti is failing to monitor the interfaces correctly due to the uptime being wrong.

Anyone have any ideas? A few people that run Cacti are getting this same problem - SNMP walk also shows the uptime at the same amount.

This is a known bug (CSCei20682), due to the time being stored in milliseconds in a 32-bit variable and 49 days 17 hours is where you hit the limit.

Already fixed in an upcoming 7.0 release, so keep checking the release notes here:

http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/pix-interim

and you should see it listed. For the time being unfortunately you'll have to reboot the PIX to get the uptime back to normal.
