I have a PIX515 with 6.x code that I want to be able to find out how long someone (in particular) is spending on the Internet. Any insights?

Enable cut-through proxy with user authentication or AAA accounting.

I can do that and I know this will force a login from the users when initiating a match against a ACL for port 80, but will it add or give me better tracking capability to log an IP address to see how much time they are spending on the Internet?

If you have an CISCO ACS you might be able to achieve this easily.
There is an open tacacs server too.
