PIX licence upgrade

I've PIX501E with with licence for 10 users. Is it possible to increase licence for this device ( to buy new licence) or necessary to buy new device with license for 50 users?

Hello,

You dont need to buy a new PIX for this. You can upgrade the existing PIX license from 10 user to 50 user. Contact your cisco partner and order for the following part number:

PIX-501-SW-10-50= 10-to-50 user upgrade license for PIX 501

The license will be included in this pack and you can upgrade this on the old PIX.

Hello ,

you will receive an activation key with that pack. you need to enter this activation key onto the pix firewall using the command:

pix (config) #activation-key #######

then reload the pix to bring the new license in place..
