PIX ping problem

one of my pix accessible through ssh. but im unable to ping the device.

any thoughts..

hi

first shot - ICMP packets would have been blocked on that ,try cheking the ACLs and allow ICMP packet from a particular ip which can be ur pc or nms from where ur trying to do the same.but afaik better not to permit but still if its very much reqd u can try tht out.

--if your pinging to your outside interface from the public..then you need to permit icmp for the reply.
