Dear all,
Can PIX configure two default route with equal cost for load balancing?
How about can PIX receive two equal cost of OSPF default route for load balancing?
Thanks and Regards,
mak

Hi mak,
i think that is not possible to do network load balancing on Cisco Pix either with static route or OSPF protocol.
By the way, from new version 7.0 you can have 2 PIx in active/active failover in order to perform FW load balancing but all traffic go through same network path.
Hope this help

For the first no.
For the second I believe no.
I am going to assume a lot. We have two perimter routers connected to one pix. The pix has a default gateway pointing to one of the routers. Those two routers have bgp connections going to different cities. All of our traffic would go through the the first router...except we have a route-map that sends approximately half of our ip addresses to the other router.
100% of our traffic goes to one router....the route-map then sends about half the traffic to the other.
You may have only one router on the perimeter with two connections to your provider. If that is the case, you can do some configuring on your end, and on the isp end that will at least allow load sharing between the two links.
Cheers,
