Hi,
i would like to know the percentage i can use for on ethernet interface in qos.
for PPP, the L2 header is 6 bytes and i use the interface command : max-reserved-bandwidth 90 to fix the L2 overhead at 10 percent instead of the 25% default.
My question is when i use ethernet interface for WAN link : what is the percentage that i can let for the ethernet L2 overhead ?
ie: i have my ethernet line at 4Mbps and with de the L2 overhead default i let 25% (1Mbps) and i prefer to tune to have less badnwidth lost and used for data forwarding.
thank u

This depends on the WAN technology you are employing. The following document on WAN QoS provides guidelines which may assist you.
