In CSM 3.x, we had a group of about 50 IPS sensors working in auto-deployment. Since our migration to 4.x (now 4.3sp1), this auto-deployment job will only process 5 sensors despite the job being recreated several times.
Do we need Auto Update Server licenses with the 4.x version to allow this process? Auto Update used to be for auto ASA upgrades, but it appears this may apply to IPS auto updates now as well. Can someone confirm this before we pursue additional licenses?

An AUS license should not be required to update sensors.
There's no mention of that in the release notes or in the User Guide (reference section on Managing IDS Updates). You should just create a deployment job selecting the target IDS's and it should work that way.
If you've followed the procedures linked above and it still doesn't work perhaps opening a TAC case is in order.

Thanks for your reply. I have recreated this job at least 10 times and it always processes 5 sensors in the policy and then stops. I will open a TAC and update this case after it gets escalated to an actual engineer. Thanks.
