This is about routing on a pix 506E...
This device is just for the vpn between offices. There is one network attached to the inside interface, and 3 that I need to connect to across the vpn. My question is if I set a default route to point to the outside interface, what is the address of the next hop that I have to put, i.e. route outside 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 x.x.x.x?
Is it:
a) the interface address
b) the next hop's interface address
c) the vpn peer's address?
Also, do I then need a route for the connected subnet? Again, what is the next hop? e.g. route inside 10.1.0.0 255.255.0.0 x.x.x.x
I understand this on routers but I have read conflicting info regarding Pixs and I'm not used to them.
Thanks,
J
