Hi all,

Haven't been able to find an answer to this online.

I'm looking to move the VM host that my FMCv is currently on to our DR site.

During the FMC outage will RA VPN users still be able to authenticate to our radius server, or does the FTD do this via the FMC?

Hi

Your ftd is the one authenticating your users through your radius server.
To validate this, you should have create a network device in your radius and the IP related to this object is your firewall IP and not FMC.

Hi,

RAVPN users will be able to authenticate and connect, as your FTD will be taking care of all these connection/authentication requests not FMC.

FMC is only for configuring, managing & monitoring FTD's, all the firewalling features are taken care by FTD itself and send the logs to FMC for monitoring/analysis purpose.
