Replace Primary unit after PIX Failover to secondary

Dear All,

My primary PIX is failed and the secondary PIX became active.

I would like to replace the failed primary PIX. However, I know that the secondary PIX is now using the MAC address of failed primary PIX after failover.

What happen to the MAC address of the secondary PIX after I replace the failed primary pix? Will it change to the new MAC address of replaced primary pix?

Replace the defect unit, Reload the config, shutdown, reconnect all cables and restart.

When the unit will restart, it will detect an active unit and start as standby.

Force switch back to the main unit (failover active on the standby unit).
