restore factory

Hi, we've migrated to a new firewall and we would like to make our old firewall (Cisco ASA 5520) as a backup device for our network. We're planning to backup the config and restore into factory settings.

I saw a reset button at the back just like an ordinary home router but seems not working. Pressed it for 20-30 secs but no reaction. I simply plug a laptop via console cable to check if there will be some movements or progress.

Thanks

Jeff

I tried to typed in the command

write erase > reload

then it did the trick. After reboot, I can see under command

show flash: I can see a lot of stuff like

ciscoasa# sh flash:
--#-- --length-- -----date/time------ path

Either I would like to upgrade or how do I know if there's an existing IOS installed? I mean, how do I load a new one then load it after reboot, I know that these info mean something, its just that I'm quite new to ASA.

Thanks

Jeff
