Route Control w/ 2 Public IP-Ranges and one PIX

Greetings,

I have 2 ISP handoffs w/ different public ranges and a single PIX. Static routes.

I would like to be able to route traffic from the INSIDE network through one ISP and the traffic from the DMZ network through the other.

Can you suggest a route control on the PIX which will do this?

I thought maybe route-map would let me next hop route based on source address but it looks limited.

Thanks for your ideas.

Hi,

Your idea to accomplish this was good but as you have seen, route-maps on the PIX are not used for policy routing decisions. At this time, they are strictly used in OSPF setups. Currently, there is no mechanism to accomplish what you are trying to do. You can configure ECMP via OSPF between the 2 ISP links which will allow you to load balance between the 2 links in an outbound direction. Other than that, I am afraid there is not much we can offer. Good luck.

Scott

Thank you Scott. You seem to be in the know so as a follup up, do you know if there are plans to expand the route-map for policy routing?

Best Regards
