Simulate ASA failover best way ?

Hi all,

I want to know the best way to check failover in ASA environment ? I wanted to know if I can stop an ASA CONTEXT to force failover ?

or any other way .

Hi

Best way to see if it is fine is with the show failover command, that will tell you if the standby Unit is Ready to take over. In multiple context scenario, you can see it by goups as well. You can check if the standby Group is ready. If it has any kind of problems it will show you that is on fail state.

To test the bounce, you can do, "no failover active" on the active Unit (Single Mode) "No failover active grou 1/2" (Multiple context.
