Hi All,
1st post here so forgive me if I've overlooked something simple here.
I've recently been given the task of updating the ASDM and ASA software on a Cisco 5510 firewall.
ASA v7.0(8)
ASDM v5.0(8)
Quite badly out of date now as you can see, I've gone to the download section for the two pieces of software and can see numerous updates both major and minor.
My question is, Where can I find details on the update path I must take?
i.e. do I update ASA straight to version 7.2.5 and then to 8.x.x or do I need to do them all one at a time in order?
Any pointers would be greatfully received.
Cheers
Chris.

You should be able to go from 7.0 to 7.2 and then to 8.2. The following link says you have to go to 7.0 then 7.1 then 7.2, but I have went from 7.0 to 7.2 without issue.

Thanks for the reply mate, I reckon I'll play it safe though and do the 7.0-7.1-7.2-8.2
Cheers
