The password encryption key has not been set.

After upgrading FXOS of Cisco FTD 4120 from 2.4 to 2.8(1.162), we are getting the "The password encryption key has not been set." as fault with severity Major and code F1772.

my FTD is in version 6.2.3.16.

Pls advise.

Before FXOS 2.6.1 the password encryption key was not configurable.  It is required for export and import of configuration.  It is possible that during the upgrade the encryption key was not brought forward to the new version.  It is a simple fix by setting the encryption key, but jus be sure to make note of the password you set as this will also need to be set on any new device that plan on importing the configuration to in the case of hardware exchange or reinstall.
