I'm getting the following error msg when booting.
No images in /
Error 15: File not found
unable to boot an image
So I'm trying to use tftp in rommon mode but I can not ping anything from either ASA -> laptop or the other direction. I'm not sure I have correct SET variables in rommon mode.
See attached for details on the error as well as the exact steps I have taken so far.
Bernie
Can anyone help?

Does your laptop have the right ip address assigned?? If you laptop is your tftp shouldn't you have to assign 10.10.1.2?

opps, that was a typo on the document I created. The laptop has the correct address which is 10.10.10.2

I made the following changes:
GATEWAY=10.10.10.2
IMAGE=asa804-23-k8.bin
I successfully tftp the image and booted the asa. I did a write mem and reload and it boots back to rommon mode.
So I then, erased disk0: and tried again with same results.
I then downloaded a different image from cisco.com and get the same results.

I got it working.
After performing the rommon/tftp steps listed above, booted the image:
1. formatted flash again
2. configured the asa int and gateway
3. copy tftp: flash:
4. write mem
