Hi,
I have an ASA 5520 with an AIP-SSM-10 module. When i try to connect to it using IDM, I have the following message " ERROR CONNECTING TO SENSOR. Failed to load Sensor -errsystemerror-ct-sensorapp420 not responding, please check system processes. The connect to the specified lo::ClientPipe failed "
How can i solve this issue.
Thanks

Hello Damdjo,
This message means that the sensorApp process is not available. Can you please run a "show ver" from the IPS CLI and verify that the sensorApp process is in state NotRunning?
To troubleshoot further, please post the output of a "show version" as well as any core.txt information from the output of a "show tech."
Thank you,

Hello Damdjo,
I've reviewed your core.txt and it appears to be reasonably generic and warrants further investigation. If you prefer, we can dive deeper into the root cause via a TAC case. If you do choose to open a TAC case, please leave the sensor in its current state so that it can be diagnosed.
Offer withstanding, you are running very old code. If you prefer not to open a TAC case, I suggest that you upgrade to the latest 6.x or 7.x code and install the latest signature update from cisco.com.
Thank you,

Hello Damdjo,
You'll want to talk to your Cisco Account Manager/SE/NCE about purchasing a contract.
