Hi All,

Need your suggestion is fixing the login to ASDM. Getting Login Failed error even the same password works for SSH and also to download the launcher from https://ipaddress/admin. But when i login from ASDM getting Login failed error.

I went through one of the suggestions from the community to add the certificate in the Java control panel using the below link. But unable to add the certificate as i am able to download the PEM cert or PEM chain and not in the .p12 or CSR format.

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/asdm/identity-cert/cert-install.html#93109

Raised with TAC but not getting any proper solution yet. Need to fix it as soon as possible i need to make some changes with the Clientless portal customization which i cant perform via CLI. Please suggest and help as soon as possible.

Regards,

Sanjay S

How to Ask The Cisco Community for Help

Hi Balaji,

Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance Software Version 9.14(4)7
Device Manager Version 7.14(1)

so, we have the same problem, could you exexute this command?

#configure terminal
#asdm image disk0:/asdm-openjre-7161-150.bin (:/"you have to copy the rute of your image")

aaa authentication http console LOCAL <<-

are you sure you add this command ??

Yes i am 100% sure these checks are all done.

can you share the ASA running config ?
