Unable to register FMC 6.2 to Smart Software Manager Satellite

We are running FMC Version 6.2 with latest hotfix and Cisco Smart Software Manager Satellite Version 3.0.5

We set up the registration URL: https://x.x.x.x:8443/Transportgateway/services/DeviceRequestHandler

On FMC in the Integration Tab we entered the URL above and on Smart Licensing tab we wanted to register to SSMS with the token.

We always get the Message:

Registration to the Cisco Smart Software Manager.

Anyone have some idea?

I have tried registration URL:

https://x.x.x.x:8443/Transportgateway/services/DeviceRequestHandler

and

https://x.x.x.x/Transportgateway/services/DeviceRequestHandler

I have also tried to chose different certificated and thats not working.

When I`m using not secure HTTP it`s work great.

http://x.x.x.x/Transportgateway/services/DeviceRequestHandler

If it works without https then I would assume that is how it is supposed to work. Unfortunately there is not enough published information on troubleshooting this stuff yet to do much without support intervention from Cisco.

Hello Christian

we are facing the same issue now , our network is not connected to the internet and we go through the manual registration for the satellite server which had been done successfully. Then we configured the FMC with above url , we tried to use http and https formats , for each one it gives me the configuration saved successfully on FMC. what should i do after that ? i cannot see the smart license on FMC.

what did you do after that to get the license on FMC and adding the FTD devices on it ?

Regards

You are using the wrong URL  port number ,

https://satelltie-ip/Transportgateway/services/DeviceRequestHandler

no need to include port number as by default HTTPS used port 443,     you have entered 8443  which wrong port .

Also for HTTPS  to work you have to match the Call-home URL to use the CN ( cName )  in Satellite Cert.

To check to see what is the CN , check this article.

Thanks,

Ross

This is what worked for us!

http://<IP of the Licensing Server>/Transportgateway/services/DeviceRequestHandler

This solution worked for me.
