Hi,

We have firmware 1.0.10 in our FP4140´s, So we would like to upgrade this firmware to 1.0.16. In order to upgrade FXOS and FTD version after this. So, is there any upgrade path to upgrade form 1.0.10 to 1.0.16?? any upgrade instructions. i cant find any documentation about firmware uploading install....

Hi,

Are you sure about the firmware as the latest is 2.3.1.58?

br, Micke

You mean FTD software, for this we will upgrade to 2.3.1.58. I mean firmware, this firmware is below FXOS and FTD software.

Check what firmware version you are running first:

scope chassis 1

show sup version

and

scope firmware-install

show detail

then copy the firmware file to the 4140: (you can also use tftp here)

scope firmware-install

download image scp://$UNAME@1.2.3.4/Users/$UNAME/fxos-k9-fpr4k-firmware.1.0.16.SPA

show download-task detail
show package

install the firmware:

install firmware pack-version 1.0.16

(while upgrade running) show detail

device will reboot (eventually)

Check firmware version / upgrade status again:

scope chassis 1

show sup version

and

scope firmware-install

show detail

On my 4140's, the 1.0.16 package installed 1.0.14 on the SUP and 1.0.6 on the FPGA:

/chassis # show sup version
SUP FIRMWARE:
ROMMON:
Running-Vers: 1.0.14
Package-Vers: 1.0.16
Activate-Status: Ready
FPGA:
Running-Vers: 1.06
Package-Vers: 1.0.16
Activate-Status: Ready

Just make sure you have the 1.0.16 package installed.
