I am trying to upgrade my PIX 501 image to version 6.3.1. I have performed this upgrade on several of our companies 501's so I know the image will fit. I have one 501 that keeps indicating that there isn't enough RAM.

How do I delete the present image so I can install the new image? Or how do I force it to install the new imgage over the current image?

Odd, you shouldn't need to do anything like deleting the current image. Can you cut/paste the actual output from the 501 when you try and upgrade it, maybe that'll help point out the issue. Also include a "sho ver" output if you can, you can blank out your serial number if you like.

Thanks for the responds. I saved the the config and reload the pix, and it worked OK this time. I had reloaded it before but still had the problem...go figure I write the message here and now it works????
