URL Filtering registration token expires in XX days FMC

FMC started throwing Health Alert: URL Filtering registration token expires in XX days, where XX is reducing day by day.

Classic licensing. ASA with Firepower module, 6.6.7.1.

Could disable health monitoring for this feature, but would like to understand - which token are we talking about and how to renew it?

I have this problem too, my customers appliance is using classic licensing and the licenses dont expire

Setup is working using classic licensing, why should smart licensing be used/forced here?

And error message is related to URL Filtering token - not specifically smart licensing.

I think you have misunderstood the issue, smart license is not in use. The message is not indicating an issue with licenses, it is about an expired token

In my case there are permanent licences installed with validity until 2026.

I have this problem too on Firepower 1140 with NGFW

The 1140 with NGFW (FTD) uses Smart licenses. Check your Smart License portal at software.cisco.com for your URL Filtering license expiration date.

The original poster's ASA with Firepower Services uses a classic license (which also has an expiration date). In that case, the date shows up in FMC under the Classic Licenses section.

I haven't seen the specific "token" error myself though on any of the many deployments i have worked with.

Same Issue here. In our Cisco smart account URL Filtering expiry is still 2026. And i noticed the same number of days are reflecting on the other CISCo FMC 6.6.4 with a different Token (different smart account). Could this be a bug in Cisco? The TAC engineer is also trying to sort this out but 5 days gone and no resolution.

TAC responded:

I have checked internally, this is a false alert and cosmetic bug.

Please disable the "URL Filtering Monitor" module via Settings > Health > Policy.
For a long-term solution, upgrading to versions above 7.0.5 is recommended.
