WCCP and Websense integration

We are trying to help out another group that is looking at Websense.  From the research that has been done so far, we are getting conflicting information as to if websense needs to be on the same subnet as the "inside" interface of the ASA.  Would appreciate any info that anyone here has on this type of integration.

User and websense needs to be behind the same interface, eg: inside interface. However, they do not need to be on the same subnet as the inside interface.
