Does anyone have a copy of a config to set up WEBVPN with Windows Terminal Services? I have opened port 3389, but something does not seem to be working correctly.

Is the document 'Configuring the VPN Concentrator for WebVPN' what you are looking for? The document is located at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/vpndevc/ps2284/products_configuration_guide_chapter09186a00801f1dd5.html

Yes, I have this document. It is too general in nature. I am looking for a copy of an actual config for setting up Windows Terminal Services, including ports to be opened, and any config that you need to do on the terminal server itself for WEBVPN.

Hi Paul,

you don´t say exactly what is not working but anyhow here is example config:

Under Configuration | Tunneling and Security | WebVPN | Port Forwarding you put the following into the fields:

Name: Terminal Server

Local TCP Port: 2000

Remote Server: 10.172.24.100

Remote TCP Port: 3389

Now after the user has logged into the WebVPN and click-ed on Application Access he will see a window. In the window there are 6 columns. In the Local column you will see something like 127.0.0.1:2000 and in the Remote column 10.172.24.100:3389. The user will type 127.0.0.1:2000 in the computer field in the Remote Desktop Connection window

Hope this helps,

Vidir

Thanks Vidir,

That is exactly the info I needed.

Paul

I configured the VPN as you described, but I'm getting following message when I tried to connect to 127.0.0.1:2000

"The client could not connect. You are already connected to the console of this computer. A New console can not be established."

This message is trying to tell me that I can not connect to the machine I'm using. RD seems can not distinguish between 127.0.0.1 and 127.0.0.1:2000. Did anyone get their terminal service working with WebVPN?

I could connect to the test server using RDP without WebVPN.

Are you using WinXPsp2?

If you are, apply this fix from microsoft:

WindowsXP-KB884020-x86-enu.exe

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=17D997D2-5034-4BBB-B74D-AD8430A1F7C8&displaylang=en

SP2 changed the way loopbacks work.
