Cisco recommends ASDM 7.3(2) for all ASA 8.x+ versions. See Table 2 here.

The file would be asdm-732.bin, available here (support contract required).

As noted below, the Pix (end of sales in mid-2008) is a bit different in that you are limited to version 6.1(5).

It seems that ASDM 7.3(2) is not supported on PIX.

see this document:

that reads:

ASDM 6.2(1) and higher is not supported on the PIX platforms. The last release that ASDM is supported on is 6.1(5)
