So i have 3 routers and a firewall in my topology. I have configured OSPF and all routers works expect R3 (see in the image below)

When I watch my neignbor in R3 it says :

Hi,

From the topology provided, I believe OSPF between R1 and R3 is not coming up. If this is the case, then can you provide with the following

From R1

ping 224.0.0.5

ping <R3-IP> size 1500 df

show interface x/y --- for interface connecting to R3

show ip ospf interface

show ip ospf nei

Interface and OSPF configuration

From R3

ping 224.0.0.5

ping <R1-IP> size 1500 df

show interface x/y --- for interface connecting to R1

show ip ospf interface

show ip ospf nei

Interface and OSPF configuration

FROM R2

ping 224.0.0.5

ping <R1-IP> size 1500 df

show interface x/y --- for interface connecting to R1

show ip ospf interface

show ip ospf nei

Interface and OSPF configuration

Regards

have you tried changing the OSPF interfaces from broadcast to point to point

Hi everyone.

I have a problem in my Network.

So i have 3 routers and a firewall in my topology. I have configured OSPF and all routers works expect R3 (see in the image below)

When I watch my neignbor in R3 it says :

192.168.7.7 1 INIT/DROTHER 00:00:37 10.0.20.1 FastEthernet0/0.

Can someone help me with this ?

Thanks in advance.

From the outputs , you shared I can see the following

1. OSPF between R1 and R3 is Up and working fine
2. OSPF between R1 and R2 is down. It is showing as INIT state on R2 but nothing on R1
3. OSPF between R1 and FW is down. It is showing as INIT state on R1

ON R1
=====

R1#ping 224.0.0.5

Type escape sequence to abort.
Sending 1, 100-byte ICMP Echos to 224.0.0.5, timeout is 2 seconds:

Reply to request 0 from 10.0.18.2, 1 ms
Reply to request 0 from 10.0.20.2, 1 ms

1. We get a response to multicast ping from R2 and R1
2. We do NOT get response from firewall. This means either our UDP packets are not reaching the firewall or the firewall is dropping teh UDP packets being received from r1
3. Also we see that R1 is showing in INIT state for OSPF neighorship with FW. This means UDP hellos orignated and coming from FW are reaching us

Check for any policy that is blocking UDP connectivity between R1 and FW

4. Unicast and multicast ping from R1 to R2 is working fine

ON R2
=====

1.Unicast and multicast ping from R2 to R1 is working fine. This means that there is no L1/L2 issue between R1 and R2
2. OSPF is showing as INIT state on R2. This means that the OSPF hellos from R1 are reaching R2
3. There is no OSPF state on R1 for R2. This means OSPF hellos from R2 are not processed by R1 or are not received by it.

You can try to chnage the mode to "point-to-point" between R1 and R2 and check it it helps

Can you provide with the following from R1,R2 and R3

show running
show version

Is there any option of running the OSPF debug like "debug ip ospf adj".

Remove the "ip nat outside" statement from the OSPF interfaces and test again

Many thanks @valsinest

It work now
