On trying to log into a Cisco ENCS 5412 last week running 3.12.3, the system showed a red warning at the top right:
"System Initialization in progress. Please wait for 5 minutes and refresh the page"
The system hadn't been recently rebooted and logging in via SSH doesn't work either as it returns 'Network error - Connection refused'., the VMs it was running appeared to be fine though. I gave it a week to make absolutely sure but no change so I restarted the ENCS through CIMC after which it booted fine and proceeded to upgrade to 4.1.2 then take a full backup.
Unfortunately this morning the ENCS unit is showing the same error and since it's hosting some core infrastructure, I can't easily restart the unit until out of hours.
It's a long shot but does anyone have any tricks that I could get access back without restarting the whole unit? And when the unit is up and running, is there anything I can check to find what's causing the problem?
