Hello,

Is there an equivalent to compare-config for services that retrieve the config from the service and compare it to the NSO locally
stored copy of the service?

there is an option to track changes done by service

- nsoadmin@ncs(config)# services global-settings collect-forward-diff true

Then to see the diff

nsoadmin@ncs# services <service> <service> get-modifications

There is a check-sync action, but the best option is usually re-deploy dry-run.
