Hello,

I was wondering if someone could confirm or offer alternatives. Do we really have to have the cisco-ios-proxy-settings remote-password clear text?  is there anythign else we can use? I was using the following discussion as a base:

How to connect to device that requires jump host?

devices authgroups group myProxyAuth
default-map remote-name hwatson
default-map public-key private-key file name /MyLocal/id_rsa  <Pointed it to my local ssh-key so no password needed

devices device lab-gw2

address   10.1.2.1

authgroup myProxyAuth
device-type cli ned-id cisco-ios
device-type cli protocol ssh
ned-settings cisco-ios-proxy-settings remote-connection ssh
ned-settings cisco-ios-proxy-settings remote-address 10.1.1.1
ned-settings cisco-ios-proxy-settings remote-port 22
ned-settings cisco-ios-proxy-settings remote-name hwatson
ned-settings cisco-ios-proxy-settings remote-password "ManAliveMyPasswordInClearText!" * <ARGH!! really?*

Thanks,

Harry
