templatize operational command

Any inputs on "templatize" operational cli command. Can we access this using MAAPI API?

Please share if any one has code snippet to access this command using API.

The cli commands are not really accessible over the api. Is there a particular use-case for using templatize as an API? It is generally intended to be used only during the development phase of the project.
