Well i tried porting forward whet to Google found my ip address and followed the the instructions but bow i'm lost on how to use it to connect and allow others to see my server

Not at all, this service is not offered by OpenDNS.  OpenDNS is a recursive DNS service to serve your DNS lookups out of your network.  You're looking for an authoritative DNS service (DNS hosting service) to get a hostname to reach your network from outside.
