DNS/HTTP Mismatch problem. Allegedly not my ISP using a Proxy.

Hi,

I hope this finds you all well. I have been trying to configure my home network to use OpenDNS for over a week. I've followed all of the recommended instructions. I'll jump to the point -- here's what I'm experiencing:

- Router appropriately configured to OpenDNS
- All devices on network restarted, DNS flushed, etc.
- My HTTP IP Address doesn't seem to change (i.e., my ISP may be using static IPs?). Regardless, I have my account turned on to "Dynamic DNS" and am using the OpenDNS updater.
- The DNS updater will show that my DNS IP address is 198.105.244.210 or 198.105.254.10, or occasionally it will actually reflect my HTTP IP address. It only varies between these three consistent addresses.
- When the DNS updater shows the "198..." IP address, it will sometimes point out that there is a HTTP/DNS IP mismatch, and sometimes it won't.
- When the DNS updater correctly shows the HTTP IP address (xx.49.128.37, which has been consistently my HTTP IP all week), OpenDNS will filter appropriately. When it is on the 198.105.244.210, it won't.
- Sometimes the DNS updater shows my DNS IP as 198.10.244.210 and then it is alternating with 198.10.254.210 every second.
- My home network IP address is different from these IP address obviously.

I am called my ISP who swear they are not using a HTTP Proxy and that they certainly allow the OpenDNS configuration. They actually seemed quite surprised that I was having troubles with this. I have also used some online tools (lagado)  to see if I'm being put through a transparent proxy, and those are consistent with the fact that I'm not.

I would really like to be able to use this service. Thank you in advance for your help!

Yes, it's most likely your ISP, but may not be a proxy, but NAT.
