So I can put the DNS servers for Family shield for my home wireless network..
but when they go to the library or starbucks I want them to be able to use the familysheild DNS.
Anyone know of a way to autoset the DNS servers for each wireless network they join.
Thanks

That all depends on what kind of devices you are talking about, what can be done and how it's done depends on the operating, and in some cases you can't control it at all.
It also depends on whether or not they have administrator access on those devices. If they have administrator access it doesn't matter what you set, they can always change it to something else.

well iOS is iOS...either an iPad or iPhone.
There is no ADMIN access really on them other then parental controls.
so again the question is when they are in the "wild" not at home and they join other wifi networks would it be possible to auto set the DNS to use the family shield.

Frankly, if there is no differentiation between administration level permissions and user level permissions anything you do is pretty much pointless because anyone with access to the device can change anything they want.
That being said if you look in the network settings for your device you might be able to change the DNS server settings. If so go ahead and change them, but like I said, anyone else can change them to something else. Plus, setting your own DNS settings on a device that accesses someone else's network might "break" your internet connection if they have their network configured to only allow access to specific DNS servers. I don't have an iOS based available to me to give you exact directions, but it will at least get you looking in the right general place.

For configuring Smart Devices see https://support.opendns.com/forums/21768890-Smart-Devices (use the FamilyShield addresses instead of the normal ones).

There is an app called DNS Override in the app store, that automatically sets the desired DNS settings for every new Wifi network you connect. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/dns-override/id1060830093
