How to unblock Pintrest

I have put Pintrest on my Never Block list but it remains blocked. Wondering if anyone knows how to fix this problem?

Have you tried clearing the cache on your devices? We advise that you clear the cache on your network's devices to ensure that your DNS settings take effect immediately. Spoke to soon...I can get on Pinterest but its not in HTML. Would OpenDNS block the way a website looks??

My question would be, why did you block Pinterest at all?  If you didn't block it, you wouldn't need to unblock it.  Whatever...

No, only in case you want  the settings changes to take effect immediately.

Then a domain being used by Pinterest is still blocked by your settings, most likely the one where they host their CSS, e.g. s-passets-ec.pinimg.com or cs89.wac.edgecastcdn.net.

Check your blocked domains at https://dashboard.opendns.com/stats/all/blockeddomains to verify this, and add e.g. pinimg.com to your "never block" list.  Add only domains which are clearly blocked according to your stats, or better reduce your filtering level or uncheck certain categories like Blogs and Photo Sharing.

Since only pinterest.com is allowed, additional content such as images and scripts are likely on a different domain that is still being blocked. 

Add: pinimg.com and edgecastcdn.com to your never block list, clear your cache, and you should see the full pinterest.com return.

I read through the posts. and pintrest is now working on my Macs. How do I get it to work on mobile devices? Anyone know the domains I need to unblock or how to find out what they are?

They might be using a different set of domains on a mobile website, and if you are using an app it might be a different set of domains as well.

As rotblitz said above looking in your stats and see what domains are being blocked.

...but only if pinimg.com and edgecastcdn.com or subdomains of them are actually blocked by OpenDNS.  Otherwise it's really useless...

I'm trying to do this as well. The recommended settings are applied, but I'm waiting for them to kick in.

Is there a way to investigate what domains are being used by the mobile app? Short of using wireshark to capture network traffic which might be overly difficult to implement. I don't believe my router tracks usage history at all.

As I said above already, you find your blocked domains here - after 1-3 hours:

To find out what domains are being used by a certain web page, enter its exact URL at https://www.webpagetest.org/ and after the test has run, click the "Domains" tab.

Thanks very much for that. I used that website to check for the domains and I saw "pinimg.com" and added that. Everything appears to be working now.

I do have all these configured right now, but I'm not sure they're all necessary. I think the last two are redundant.
