How do I add a android Dynamic client dns updater for my sons Andriod phone

In short, you don't. Or at least you shouldn't.
It is not recommended that updaters be run from mobile devices for the very reason that they are mobile. One of the biggest reasons for this is that a mobile device that updates the address for your network when it is away from home means that your home will no longer be protected by OpenDNS because it's address has been changed. Also, generally speaking, if you do update the address while away like this you are also claiming someone else's IP address as your own (it could be a neighborhood coffee house, public hotspot, or even your employers network), when in fact it is their network, and they have the right to determine how it is managed, not you.

mattwilson9090 is right. Why would you need an Updater on your son's smartphone? There's no reason at all. He can just uninstall it. And you will impact your home network from functioning with OpenDNS when he is away.
If you still need an Android Updater after all, see here:

Sorry, you still did not understand. The Updater protects you from - nothing! It is just a tool to keep your IP address information updated at https://dashboard.opendns.com/settings/
This registration of your IP address is so that OpenDNS can associate your DNS lookups with your account and settings. And this Updater can run on any device within your network, not specifically on a device which is to be protected. And running one Updater is already sufficient, no matter how many devices use OpenDNS.
"Android does not allow me to change the DNS on mobile networks"
Another rumor. For sure does Android allow to change DNS servers also on mobile networks.
