I helping a friend setup opendns but the verification email is not coming through. We've check spam folders and searched the entire mailbox using the term "opendns". It has been 7 hours.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Maybe you don't need a confirmation email?

You do need to confirm your email. I had the same problem just an hour ago. Request a ticket on the OpenDNS support page, all the way at the bottom, and submit this problem. Most likely someone will email you stating that they are having trouble with the verification system and that they have manually verified your email. After that it will take awhile for your account to be registered. What i did was clear my web cache, I don't know if that's something i needed to do but i did it anyway just in case. 5 minutes later my account was fully verified.
