Run OpenDNS Home and Family Shield on same network

I want to OpenDNS Home with custom settings and more robust filtering on a few devices at home. But only use the FamilyShield filter on some other devices.

It appears as though the Family Shield DNS still adopts the settings from the OpenDNS Home configuration.

I'm not a networking pro, so use small words. :)

No matter if you configure the FamilyShield addresses 208.67.222.123 and 208.67.220.123 or the normal OpenDNS resolver addresses 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220, your dashboard settings will take effect, because your DNS traffic all comes from your public IP address.  The only difference is that using the FamilyShield addresses always blocks certain domain categories, regardless of your dashboard settings, but your dashboard settings are used else.

was hoping to setup the same way the OP wanted. disappointed to hear that the dashboard settings apply to both.
