Stats show nothing but zeros

I have had Open DNS onmy machines for maybe 2 years but have not used it for a long time and I think I can be easily classified as a newbie. I recently got a new router.

Windows 7 Pro Service Pack 1
Dell Inspiron 5758
Privately owned Arris Surf Board SBG7580-AC (two different speed channels) ISP:  Xfinity.

Stats show nothing but zeros??
What am I missing?

Do I need to start over? I cannot figure out how to delete the old Network and I don't think the IPs match.

"Stats show nothing but zeros??"

Interesting, just zeroes?  Can you post a screen shot?  I must see this - never heard before!  In case you meant to say that you see nothing, also no zeroes, you do not need to post a screen shot.  Besides:

  1. Are you using OpenDNS?  http://welcome.opendns.com/
If not, configure the OpenDNS resolver addresses correctly on your router or your computer.
  2. If you're using OpenDNS, is your IP address correctly registered at https://dashboard.opendns.com/settings/ ?
If not, register your IP address by clicking the green arrows icon.
  3. Did you flush your caches after the settings change?
    https://support.opendns.com/hc/en-us/articles/227988627
  4. Have you waited 24 hours after your first visit at your stats?  If you don't visit your stats for two weeks, it takes 24 hours for the stats to reappear, because OpenDNS have stopped collecting them.
Going further, stats are not real-time, but it generally takes 1-3 hours for the stats to appear.
  5. And last but not least, do you have stats and logs enabled at your dashboard?

"I cannot figure out how to delete the old Network and I don't think the IPs match."

You check the checkbox at the right side and click the "delete" button, but you do not need to do this, because you'll lose all your network specific settings then.  Better simply update your IP address information for the existing network.

bit of a newbie here.

i'm also getting zeroes ...

fired up OpenDNS a week or so ago, and it was displaying stats quite nicely, but several days ago it stopped.

I guess it might have been something I've done, but i'm not sure what?

any suggestions ?

@laup

Did you even care to read my comment above to go through the 5 checks I listed, at a minimum the first two?  Certainly not!
Do you expect me to copy & paste this to here again, or what?  Ok, here you go:

Thanks for replying. Sorry I've wasted your time. I will go through the 4 points. I'm not sure why my stats stopped, after they'd been working a few days ago, but having checked the 4 points your mentioned, i'll wait 24 hours and look again.

Thanks again, Paul
