I have a dynamic address name from my Telco that I use to get back to my network as it has a dynamic ip address. when I moved to OpenDNS I can no longer get in and out of the network to view my camera system using the dynamic address name. for some reason I get in but going out goes via OpenDNS and I cannot then connect via my routing rules to the camera system
an ideas on how to solve this

Do not configure OpenDNS on the LAN/DHCP side, but only on the WAN side. Or add entries for the internal network names to your local hosts file.

Thanks I actually solved this by using a dyndns entry updated from my router to point back to my network and necessary firewall and port forwarding rules setup, works well

its a pity I cannot point the dyndns url to update OpenDNS dynamic ip section that would work a charm wont have to run the dns updater then off a local machine the router then does it for me

So, apparently it had nothing to do with OpenDNS.
"its a pity I cannot point the dyndns url to update OpenDNS dynamic ip section"
No, it's not a pity but intentional for security reasons. And there is no "dyndns url". You certainly meant the DynDNS hostname.
And well, if you can send your updates from the router through DNS-O-Matic, then it's easy to update both (and even more) of your services. That's the way to go! You don't need another updater on a computer then.
