What is OpenDNS VIP?

I've seen that OpenDNS VIP offers:

• Ad free blocked site pages
• Additional space for blacklists and whitelists
• Premium Support

But what else? Just for $19.95 I get some extra space on my whitelist and blacklist and remove the ads? Really?

I have a few questions:

1. Is there the ability to create multiple accounts on OpenDNS VIP so for example account a can only access these websites whereas account b cannot?
2. Is there the ability for whitelist only?
3. Is the $19.95 for one year or forever?

If those features are available, I'll definitely buy it.

The price is good until you cancel your subscription.  The feature differences are:

• Increased quota on whitelist/blacklist (50 Domains)
• 1 year of statistics
• Whitelist Only
• Enhanced Customizations of Block & Guide Pages
• Ad-Free Guide/Block Page
• Ability to disable Guide Page completely while maintaining content filtering

Thanks Brian - what is a guide page? is this perhaps where you search on an image and the returns are displayed accoringly on a guide page? I am looking to upgrade but require that images are blocked as well if possible

The Guide Page is what is shown when you enter a domain in your browser that does not resolve to an IP address.  You can also use it as a normal search engine at http://guide.opendns.com.

I paid for VIP access but I was cut off at 25 from blacklisting.

Zendesk is the system that powers our support center.  What page were you trying to access?

I upgraded to VIP and I still have a limit to the number of entries I can add for my whitelist. I have submitted a support ticket but would rather not wait 24 hours for a response.

What is this limit?  With VIP it should be 50 entries for blacklist and 50 entries for whitelist.

That's what I already had. I thought VIP gave me more. How can you upgrade to get more entries? 50 is just not enough for our whitelist.

If you are using for a business and need whitelists/blacklists over 50 you would need to purchase Umbrella Professional.

If you are a home user, have purchased VIP, and need additional blacklist/whitelist entries, please open a support ticket and my team will be able to assist you.

VIP is only for home users.
