15305 CEC - Historic Log file OffLine view

I am managing a small ons15305 network and I have some problems on the swithcg capability.

It is necessary to analisy the errors log file generated by the equipment, but this must be off line because it is not possible to stay in site all the time.

The backup file generated is XLS extension, what kind of view can I use?

Current version(s) of 305 software can store the latest 1000 alarms/events (release 2 will store 5000). This can be read/stored via CEC (Equipment -> Notification history). It is required a "refresh" to get the log from NE. There are two sheets, one for "events" and one for "alarms". I believe these logs can be stored individually. Choose "save file" from menu. The file(s) can be read or edited in any tool, for example Microsoft Excel.

I am not sure about what's meant by "what kind of view I can use" and my answer may not be what you expected.
