15454 Chassis Protection

What is the TL1 command used to extract the time taken for a optical signal to switch to "protect" mode? I am specifically in need of getting down to the Millisecond range.

I found:

service timestanps debug uptime

service timestanps log datetime msec localtime

logging buffered 4096 debugging

There is no Tl1 command that can give you this information. While the 15454 will do protection switching under 50 milliseconds, it does not have the ability to provide switch time measurements. To measure switch times you need to use SONET test equipment, such as the OMNIBER, and set it up specifically to perform the measurement.
