15454 Sonet Ring

I fell in on some equipment, which is new to me, no formal training, just reading and chugging along.  Fell in on a SONET Ring of 5 ONS 15454, of which when I use the CTC Launcher only 4 are viewable and 1 shows Unknown 4.  I log in to the Unknown one by consoling in at the equipment and after I log in both my slot 5 and 6 (OC-192) cards are in SEV- CR, ST- R, Condition- LOP-P, Description- Loss of Pointer - Path, Direction- Receive, Location- Near..  If anyone can point me in the right direction of where to start and what to look for so that I can get this one node normal again would be great.  Want to be able to remotely manage the ring from my office.  Thanks again.

the LOP-P (Loss of Pointer Path) alarm is a critical error. Maybe the link below helps, it essentially suggests to check and rebuild the circuit:
