Hi there! We are having issues getting RAM and CPU information when configuring SNMP on DWDW devices. We have 4 optical Cisco ONS15454 MSTP DWDM devices, we know that the paths running on these devices are mainly optical and we’re using them in our Production sire and DR sire connectivity in the cluster. We’ve configured SNMP in all of them but we’re unable to obtain RAM and CPU information, although the interfaces are visible the up down status aren’t enough since we actually need to monitor our production and the DR sites fiber connectivity Any idea or advice?

CPU and RAM utilization is part of Controller card on DWDM chassis.

which can be a TCC2P, TCC3 or TNC card series.

you can get RAM and CPU utilization through VxWorks by doing telnet into the node.

SNMP will not be going to show that information, because Controller cards don't share that info.

that makes sense, thanks for the advice!

hi supponia,

can you tell me about syntax for getting RAM & CPU information ?
