C1000 unsupported transceiver

We have been using OEM sfps for a long time with C2960 series without a problem but we cuurently switch to a C1000 series switch and apperantly this series does not support the allow-unsupported-transceiver command. Does anybody know a way to use other manufacturers sfps with C1000 series?

- The particular command may have become hidden and not listed in ?-commands-help. You may try to paste it in global-config-mode manually :

config t

!

service unsupported-transceiver

no errdisable detect cause gbic-invalid

!

end

write mem

Thanks for your response but sadly we couldnt make it work.

"no errdisable detect cause gbic-invalid" command works as it should but "service unsupported-transceiver" command is invalid both as the global config and interface command.

Could there be a new way of using OEM or other vendors transceivers? Maybe cisco changed the command or there is a new command that substittudes for that?
