Hello Experts,
I am using a Cisco 10GBASE-SR SFP+ module (10Gbit fiber) with a Cisco C9500-24Y4C-A switch. I want to enable FEC using this module. When I plug the module into a port the "fec" command in the "switch(config-if)" menu disappears. If I have no module plugged into the port, the "fec" command does appear.
Is FEC supported using the 10GBASE-SR module at 10Gbit/s?

- Consider using latest advisory release : https://software.cisco.com/download/home/286319595/type/282046477/release/Bengaluru-17.6.3 , if not yet done. Check if that can help.

There is no "fec" command shown when I show help from the switch(config-if) prompt.

"show interface twentyfivegige1/0/11 trans"
And then I get:
ITU Channel not available (Wavelength not available),
Transceiver is internally calibrated.
If device is externally calibrated, only calibrated values are printed.
++ : high alarm, + : high warning, - : low warning, -- : low alarm.
NA or N/A: not applicable, Tx: transmit, Rx: receive.
mA: milliamperes, dBm: decibels (milliwatts).

Temperature Voltage Current Tx Power Rx Power
Port (Celsius) (Volts) (mA) (dBm) (dBm)
--------- ----------- ------- -------- -------- --------
Twe1/0/11 28.2 3.33 8.7 -2.3 -40.0
Ignore the -40dB Rx power because the transceiver was not connected this time.
Do I have the correct command?
