Hello,

i have an SG200-18 with Fiber connection to the Server on a Intel 82599 Board.

I did the rigt V-Lan. The Firmware on the Switch is 1.4.10.6 the newest.

Protokoll on Switch:

%NSFP-I-SFPGibicDetected: gi18 SFP port is present, module type - 10G BASE-SR

Does some one have a hint, what is wrong? No connection on the port.

Thank you!

Hi there,

Have you tried swapping the TX and RX fibres around at one end of the fibre patch?

FYI, it is cheaper to use Twinax cable than SFPs for short runs to servers, plus you never encounter the issue with fibre polarity.

cheers,

Seb.

Hello,
the both fiber cable are fixed and can´t changed.
Sorry!

Well

You can provide some details

i´m using LWL Patchcale like this

https://www.kabelscheune.de/LWL-Kabel-LWL-Patchkabel/LWL-Patchkabel-Duplex-LC-LC-50-125-OM3-0-5-m.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI1Oe8qLqx4wIVBdiyCh3OFAPlEAYYAyABEgKRM_D_BwE

for excample (so i cant change the connection). The two fibers are crossed. (A <-> B / B <-> A) I tested a second Patchcable.

On bothe sides are SFP+ Modules 10Gb
