I have a catalyst 2950.  I am in need of a single fiber BIDI GBIC.  Does Cisco have these or is there a compatible manufacturer?

BiDi is a term Cisco uses to refer to 40 Gbps QSFP transceivers.

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/interfaces-modules/40-gigabit-modules/white-paper-c11-732764.html

The Catalyst 2950 switches are long past end of sales.

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/switches/catalyst-2950-series-switches/prod_end-of-life_notice0900aecd804658c9.html

The models that were offered only included, at a maximum, 1 Gbps SFP transceiver slots for their uplinks.

Cisco's compatible 1 Gbps SFP transceivers for them are listed here:

You may try FS.COM, I bought optical transceivers several times from there, and they work great until now.

For the compatible BIDI GBIC, you can try this:Cisco GLC-BX40-DA-I Compatible 1000BASE-BX-D BiDi SFP 1490nm-TX/1310nm-RX 40km DOM Transceiver

For the other compatible SFP GBIC in the Cisco Data Sheet, you can take this as a reference: https://www.fs.com/c/1000base-sfp-81
