Good morning everyone.
I'm new on this CISCO chat, I have a problem with a N2K-C2232PP-10GE to connect to a server with SFP+ interface.
I connect 2 SFP+ 10GB between the server and the N2K-C2232PP-10GE and up to here it hooks up, then I try to connect the N2K-C2232PP-10GE with a PC with 10GB MYRYCOM interface again via 2 SFP+ but none of the 32 ports are activated. Am I wrong in something?
Thank you
Giancarlo
I enclose the schematicN2K-C2232PP_Front_Panel.jpg

@As @marce1000 notes, your device is a Fabric Extender, commonly known as FEX. A FEX does not operate as a standalone switch but instead requires a parent switch like a Nexus 5k, 7k or 9k. The parent switch is required to use and configure the interfaces on a FEX since it has only very limited built-in capability and is not able to operate as a stand alone device.

        - What do you mean by that , the fabric extender must have a nexus 2000 series switch connection in order to be able to function (?)

Thank you very much Marvin Rhoads for your prompt response, we will be purchasing a Cisco Nexus N5K-C5596UP.
Thanks again and have a nice day.
